Hardwood
The quality and beauty of hardwood continues to be a very popular flooring choice for today's homeowner in America. Nothing can really replicate the beauty and warmth of hardwood as a flooring choice. 10 years ago, 95perc. of new hardwood installed was from the oak family. Modern harvesting and manufacturing has brought much more of the exotic species and other hardwoods, like cherry, maple and ash to the fore and made them more and more popular with today's consumers.
Hardwood is essentially manufactured in 2 ways. Standard or solid hardwood is the traditional method of manufacturing which is simply a full board cut from a tree, solid from top to bottom, usually nailed to the subfloor. Today's modern "engineered" hardwood is still real hardwood, only it's manufactured in layers to increase dimensional stability and to virtually eliminated gapping between boards that occurs during seasonal changes with traditional solid hardwood flooring.
Whether your choice is solid traditional or engineered, Custom Carpet Centers has plenty to choose from in both types. And because we install 1000s of square board feet a year of new hardwood, we've become one of the largest area hardwood dealers and can handle projects of any size and scope.
